Captain Amarinder Singh, Home minister Amit Shah and BJP chief Nadda may meet soon according to the sources.
New Delhi: The proposed Amarinder Singh- Amit Shah- JP Nadda meeting has raised speculations about the former Punjab CM joining the BJP. According to sources, Captain Amarinder Singh may be inducted into the PM Modi's Union cabinet as Agriculture Minister. Captain will arrive in the national capital on Tuesday evening. The former Punjab Congress and Army veteran will hold a series of meetings but the most important one is likely to be with Amit Shah and JP Nadda.
Singh with the help of BJP or without BJP may start a new political party in his home state Punjab in case he doesn't join BJP. However, there is no official confirmation around it and these are just speculations at the moment. Many senior NDA leaders had already invited Captain to be part of the BJP or the saffron party-led alliance. Captain Amarinder Singh who had resigned as the chief minister of Punjab following months of infighting between him and Navjot Singh Sidhu.
Speaking to reporters shortly after resigning as CM, Captain Amarinder Singh said he felt "humiliated" at the manner in which he was treated by the Congress high command. Replying to a question about his chances of joining BJP, Captain said, ''I will consult with my supporters and decide the future course of action."
